It had been almost a decade since I travelled to South Africa for any purpose. Well considering it was like a second home, where I visited every single Christmas ever since I was 9 years old, staying that long away was such a long time. For those who intend on relocating I can safely say South Africa is a great place to consider investing and moving to. I was pleasantly surprised from the moment I landed to the moment I left the country. I travelled for ministry and also to learn as my mentor was ministering at a conference but I got more than what I intended. The conference was great and what I noticed about the people there is that they are ready for a great move of God, hence why our second #Lifestyle conference will be in South Africa.
After the Conference I decided to do a little touring and I visited Soweto. First stop was President Nelson Mandela’s house. Its great to have heard the story, or to have watched the movies that depict the life of this great man, but to actually experience part of his story is almost life changing. It shocked me that their house with his family was that small and yet so many memories were built in that place. What really stayed with me other than the perfect handwriting, I saw in the letters he had written to his wife while he was in prison, was the bullet holes on the walls of his house. One can only try and envision what being in that small house while bullets were fired must have felt like. My conclusion to that part of the trip is that he was surely kept for a great purpose because only God knows how he would have turned out had his family been killed in that house.
After the Mandela house trip we took off and went over to visit a children’s home called Othandweni. Although I’m not yet a millionaire from personal accumulated wealth, I have genuine interest in changing people’s lives. I have done the little I could for people when I could and I believe the more I do good, good things also happen to me, you reap what you sow I guess. When it comes to charity and giving, I believe there are people who are called and chosen to do so because the sacrifice required can only be sustained by Grace. Anyway it was an amazing visit and I managed to get mentee, a young lady whose name I can not disclose for privacy purposes, as she is still under age. The young lady is very intelligent and she kind of reminded me of myself. Although we took items for all the children in the home, I had to be very careful in selecting someone whose life I could change completely and God picked her.
Besides the children’s home we also gave to as many people as we could, because as much as the country is developed most of the people of South Africa are suffering. Yes there is job security, food, electricity, water and the people’s basic needs are met in the right areas. However like any other country there are still people who are struggling and looking for help. I believe God led me to South Africa at this stage in my life for a reason, because I strongly believe that the steps of the righteous are ordered and as we plan our conference in South Africa for December 2015, If anyone would like to join us then feel free to contact us. There are many people I know who have a passion and a zeal to impact lives so I am inviting you all, even those who just want to come and support the conference everyone is welcome. Our return to South Africa is purely for Kingdom Business.
